June 8 Belmopan Belize: This country's Ministry of Communications says it is pleased that Tikal Jets Airlines, a Guatemalan airline company, is expanding its
flights by initiating air services to Havana, Cuba.

Presently the airline is providing services between Guatemala City and Belize with intermediate stops in Santa Elena (Flores), Guatemala. The service to Havana is expected to begin in mid June and will be an extension of its present route. The flights are expected to operate on Mondays and Fridays.

It is also expected that this new service, along with those established, will represent another boost for the counntry’s economy, and play a significant part in the continued growth of Belize’s tourism industry.
